The Pilot Partnership Program

The 2021 Symposium set the stage for the Pilot Partnership Program that brought together six teams of Early Learning and Design Professionals. Each team included an Early Learning program leader and at least one design professional to review their facility needs and develop individualized plans for feasibility, programming, building materials, site selection, and other important project parameters. Each team was awarded a stipend to engage in the work.

Our role at Design for Early Learning included:

• Creating an expanding list of design firms and architects with experience in Early Learning Facilities who understand their unique requirements.

• Ongoing professional development for educators and architects with a focus on innovation and current best practices.

• An assessment of the outcomes of the pilot program, with feedback from partnership teams.

• A plan for an expanded program to reach more educators and engage more qualified design firms.

The Pilot Partnership Program was funded by the Bamford Family Foundation and Enterprise Community Partners
